1 Ethics CEU provided
Introduction to broaching the topic of sex/sexuality with clients and navigating conversations about sexual issues in supervision. In marriage and family therapy, relational concerns are often the main focus. However, the concern is often centered around issues related to sex, sexual identity, expression, and practices. In addition, erotic countertransference can lead to unethical and illegal behavior. This presentation covers how to support erotically marginalized clients and how to broach the topic of erotic countertransference in supervision to mitigate risks of harm.
