This session clarifies why therapists should aim for cultural humility, rather than cultural competence, and why ethical care requires ongoing intentional development of humility. Attendees will learn ethical implications of attending to intersectionality, power, privilege, and social locations in practice. Practical ways to develop cultural humility will be presented. Provides 1.5 CEU hours in Ethics. Assessment of course learning required to earn CEU credit.
