An Introduction to Accelerated Resolution Therapy for PTSD

Course Summary:
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is recognized as an innovative brief model mental health therapy tool using imagery rescripting and memory reconsolidation to alter negative emotions and sensations associated with trauma, depression, addiction, and other mental health issues in only a few sessions.

Bio:
Jennifer Street, Founder of Life Renewal Counseling, has been in the field of Social Work since 2000 and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in several states. A graduate of both East Tennessee State University and Florida State University, Jennifer holds a bachelor's degree in Social Work and a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work.  Specializing in trauma, adolescent and women's issues, and working with military members and their families, Jennifer has worked with all different types of concerns including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, self-injury, and abuse recovery. Jennifer spent three years working in a gender-specific adolescent girls program, and four years working as the Program Coordinator for a Domestic Violence Outreach Center where she specialized in domestic violence advocacy and intervention for victims. Jennifer has facilitated addiction recovery groups and adolescent groups and has also specialized in trauma treatment for ministerial and military families.    As a clinician and an educator, Jennifer has worked as an adjunct professor at the University of South Florida, St. Leo University, and Liberty University.  Jennifer is a certified trauma professional and is a Master Certified Accelerated Resolution Therapy Clinician, which is an eye movement treatment for faster resolution of psychological distress that results from trauma. Jennifer is also a Trainer for Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART ®) and Sensation Awareness Focused Technique (SAF-T ®).  Jennifer is trained in the EAGALA method of equine assisted learning and therapy as well as Gottman's couples therapy level one.  Jennifer currently works full-time a full time faculty member in the Bachelor of Science in Social Work program at Liberty University and provides trauma care for ministerial families through Care for Pastors, a non-profit organization.
